Live footage of Nicolas Collins performing at London's Café Oto...

Nicolas Collins, composer and hardware hacking professor performs In Memoriam Michel Waisvisz at London's Café Oto 31 January 2010. Waisvisz was an artistic director of Amsterdam's Studio For Electro Instrumental Music (STIEM) who died in 2008.

The instrument which Collins constructed for this piece is made up of a set of oscillators modulated by the flickering flame of a small candle. Check out this clip for another example of the same work.
