Tom Lax on WFMU Brian Turner show

Derek Walmsley

It's about this time of year that I usually point in the direction of Brian Turner's show on WFMU, where they get Siltbreeze's Tom Lax in to do a DJ set. As usual, it's the most crazy screwed up rock tunes, found down the back of the sofa, perfunctorily straightened out and slapped on the turntable. Awesome stuff can be heard here.

You only check in once a year with Brian? His show rules year round - lots of great music and guests

Man, Brian's show is great. The recent Sublime Frequencies show was just amazing.

For some reason, though, I do find myself listening to less overtly ass-kicking shows on WFMU most of the time. Bryce's show is a particular joy.
