Watch documentation of Trevor Watts's journey to Burkina Faso as part of the 11 Songs project. This international collaborative group brought together Watts, Belgian tenor saxophonist Luc Mishalle and master djembe player Adama Drame alongside Adama Traore (doundoun) and Kibie Mamadou Diabate (marimba). Luc also brought his horn septet Marockin’ Brass comprising saxophonist Cezariusz Gadzina from Poland, Belgians Veronique Delmelle (baritone) and Jean Paul Estevian (trumpet), and Dutchman Arno Bakker on sousaphone. Also, included in the performances were the Moroccan Gnawa musicians Rida Stitou (vocals and krakeb) and Badder Derras (vocals and bendir).
