Film maker Cathy Soreny shares an exclusive nine minute clip from her intimate new documentary following South London based musician and visual artist Adam Bohman

Adam Bohman: By Biro And Umbrella Spring is set to be premiered at Cafe Oto this Saturday 10 August. Bohman is a member of many improvising groups such as Morphogenesis, The London Improvisers Orchestra, CIM, and more, and has helped birth two regular improv concert nights: The Horse at Iklectik and another at the Catford Constitutional Club in South East London.

Filmed within the artist's flat and on the streets of Catford and Lewisham, the documentary shows Bohman working on his collages and sound works and explaining his DIY processes.

The special screening will be accompanied by live performances by Secluded Bronte, a trio of Adrian Northover, Sue Lynch and Tom Scott, plus a sextet, and text piece featuring film maker Cathy Soreny.

Adam and his brother Jonathan recently took part in The Wire's Invisible Jukebox test, featured in issue 425. Subscribers can read the full interview via Exact Editions.
