Vocalist, musician and mixed media artist Faith Coloccia has released records on labels such as Hydra Head, Blackest Ever Black and Daymare, and performed in various groups including Mamiffer, Barnett + Coloccia and House Of Low Culture. Her new solo project Māra’s debut album Surfacing will be released by Coloccia and ex-Isis frontman Aaron Turner’s label SIGE on 11 December.

Self-produced by Coloccia, Surfacing was recorded onto a four-track and handheld cassette recorder. The album will be released digitally and in a tape edition of 100 copies, housed in a custom letterpress printed jacket with eight photocards including lyrics. Coloccia also did all the artwork, photography and design for the project.

The video for album track “Love And Infinity” was created by Daniel Menche, who collaborated with Coloccia on the recent Daniel Menche & Mamiffer album Crater (SIGE).
