The Dutch tape musician shares a video for a track from her self-titled album

Before Marijn Verbiesen aka Red Brut relocated from Utrecht to Rotterdam, she had in fact never made her own music. Inspired by the host of experimental artists around her, she began to immerse herself in the scene, and eventually started to perform improvised lo-fi soundscapes, made entirely by splicing and collaging tapes.

“Senpai” is from Verbiesen's self-titled album, released in May by Kraak. Made by Dutch artist and film director Wouter Venema, this animated video for the track features drawings by Wouter and Joppe Venema.
