UK video project IMPATV share their footage of Sauvage's recent electro-aquatic performance

This video is taken from Tomoko Sauvage’s performance at Braziers Park's Supernormal festival, which returned this year following a brief hiatus. From Yokohama, Tomoko Sauvage moved to Paris in 2003 following a stint in New York where she studied jazz piano. She performs with a ‘natural synthesizer’ set-up: a combination of water, ceramics and hydrophones. It involves her amplifying the sound of porcelain bowls filled with water and manipulating the sonic outcome via electronic feedback techniques.
