Listen to a preview of Rutger Zuydervelt's Bridges

November 2011

Stream a "preview-collage" of the four recordings from Zuydervelt's audiovisual project involving Jim Denley & Espen Reinertsen, Burkhard Beins & Jon Mueller, Mats Gustafsson & Nate Wooley, Erik Carlsson & Steven Hess.

Designed by Gerco Hiddink and coordinated by Rutger Zuydervelt aka Machinefabriek, Bridges is a project involving four pairs of improv players reacting to field recordings made at four bridges between Sinderen and Nijmegen in the Netherlands.

The musicians were asked to improvise separately to the field recordings. These improvisations were then mixed together with the primary field recordings. The four pieces are released as a double 12" picture disc, with the artwork printed with a zoetropic series of images of the bridges.
