Wire Mix: Proc Fiskal

June 2018

The Scottish post grime producer shares a brand new mix featuring RP Boo, Caustic Window, DJ Rashad, and many of his own productions

Edinburgh resident Joe Powers aka Proc Fiskal’s debut LP Insula was released by Hyperdub on 8 June. Speaking with Daisy Hyde in The Wire 412, Powers explains his use of sampling throughout the record; “I like to overflow and attack people with information and allude to various things at once – in an attempt to craft a new thing from all these different spheres. To confuse people, and to fuck up your nostalgic brain with overlapping stuff.” This exclusive mix also includes Proc Fiskal’s own music from Insula alongside some unreleased material and tracks produced under the name Proc Frostal.
