Listen to two unreleased tracks by Chicago's DJ Taye, featured in The Wire 365
“Everybody in my age group, my whole generation – when we was younger, this was what we did every day for fun. All the time, just footworking.” Teklife producer DJ Taye aka Dante Saunders tells Rory Gibb in The Wire 365.
DJ Taye started out dancing and making tracks at 14. At 16, after testing his music at one of the crew’s battleground sessions, he was invited to join Ghettoteknitianz, later renamed Teklife, the highly respected clique cofounded by DJ Spinn and the late DJ Rashad.
Since the start of this year, the 19 year old has already released 60 tracks through Bandcamp. Overdose On Teklife II is available here.
