Listen: Vainio & Vigroux Peau Froide, Léger Soleil

October 2015

Listen to exercises in “sensitive intensity” on Mika Vainio and Franck Vigroux’s new album collaboration

Mika Vainio and Franck Vigroux’s collaborative album Peau Froide, Léger Soleil is described as “an exercise in sensitive intensity, drifting the whole space between minimalist meditations and maximalist kinetics”. The pair first performed together live onstage in 2012. After three years in the making, Peau Froide, Léger Soleil was released by Cosmo Rhythmatic, the Berlin based label established in 2014 by techno producer Shapednoise in collaboration with D. Carbone and Ascion.

Mika Vainio was the subject of The Wire 350 Invisible Jukebox, tested by Jennifer Lucy Allan. And you can read Brian Morton’s feature about French artist Franck Vigroux in The Wire 364.
