In this compilation I collected the works of very different compatriots with an unambiguous position, developed self-awareness, a subtle sense of beauty and a desire to strengthen our national question. We love our country and we want to help it overcome the main challenges of today's events through the volunteer fundraisers that this playlist aims to stimulate.
This anthology of electronic music is a wordless manifesto in support of Ukraine from conscious and strong Ukrainians. Our country is suffering a time of adversity, many of us have lost track of time, and the worst thing that could threaten our future is the ‘routinization’ of war in the minds of the outside world, a mass calming down and switching to a mean local agenda. At such moments, the erosion caused by political chaos is slowly approaching the body of more and more new state structures, and the lay person is unaware of the importance of their voice and the power hidden in it. Therefore, we use all possible means in order to pay attention to our own home, in which trouble has already happened, but which can still be saved. I call to hear us and, at the call of the heart, respond without moral torment. When there are many of us, together we can do anything.
For this collective performance, I have selected an extensive palette of sound combinations: mostly ambient and electronics with deep visceral textures, drones that disturb the womb and heart, mysterious and poignant soundscapes. The tone of the compositions does not suffer from contradictions, the compilation is mutually complemented by them and weaves a unique sound ornament inspired by the spirit of Ukrainian architects of nonfigurative sound.
The anthology features tracks from the following artists: Heinali (Injazero), Bodya Konakov (ШЩЦ), Igor Yalivec (Flaming Pines), Nikolaienko (Muscut), Friedensreich (Corridor Audio), Mova (Flaming Pines), Anton Baibakov (No label), Iury Lech (Insolit), Vaxoid (Corridor Audio), Lu Joyce (Corridor Audio), Ptakh (No label), Katarina Gryvul (No label), John Object (No label) and Andrey Kiritchenko (Flaming Pines).
