Rhys Chatham: A Crimson Grail

Composer Rhys Chatham is set to release a new album. A Crimson Grail (2005) was recorded in 2009 in New York City. Originally scored for as many as 400 guitarists, and composed specifically for the basilica of Sacré-Coeur in Paris (the city Chatham now calls home), this version utilises 200 electric guitars, 16 electric basses, and percussion. A Crimson Grail will be released 13 September 2010 on Nonesuch Records.
