This Is Not This Heat announce more details of two day residency

This Is Not This Heat residency at Cafe Oto this February announces more details

Following last month’s announcement that former This Heat members Charles Hayward and Charles Bullen would take up a two day residency at London’s Cafe Oto to perform songs by the legendary art rock unit, full details of the event, titled This Is Not This Heat, have now been revealed. Sets will include a performance
of Hayward’s solo project Begin Anywhere, Bullen’s group Ground, and some DJ interludes courtesy of Nick Name (WFMU/care in the community recordings). For
the main event, Bullen and Hayward will
be joined by a large selection of guest musicians including Frank Byng, Chris Cutler, Merlin Nova, Thurston Moore, Daniel O’Sullivan and others. Also available on both nights will be a limited edition reissue of the 1982 cassette Tago Mago that featured a This Heat session with Ghanaian musician Mario Boyer Diekuuroh.

As well as reissuing the only three records This Heat produced in the group’s lifetime, Light In The Attic will also reissue For A Reason by Bullen’s post-This Heat project Lifetones.

This Is Not This Heat will take place at Cafe Oto, London, on 12–13 February. But please note tickets reportedly sold out in less than 24 hours of going on sale. Subscribers to The Wire can read Mike Barnes's This Heat Primer in The Wire 384.
