Scottish composer James Dillon announced as HCMF's composer in residence

Scottish composer James Dillon has been announced as HCMF composer in residence for 2014. Dillon is counted as a new complexity composer, with his music having a reputation as being difficult to play. He was one of the first winners of HCMF's Young Composer's Award in 1978.

New and existing works by Dillon will be performed throughout the festival, which this year takes place at various venues in Huddersfield from 21–30 November. More to be added to the programme in the coming months.
