On Saturday 14 December, The Wire Salon decamps to the Blue Room at London's BFI to host a discussion that will examine the myriad ways in which ideas, moods and imagery drawn from occult and transgressive cinema and literature have surfaced in metal, rap, jungle, dubstep and other 21st century musical subcultures. The event will take the form of a panel debate followed by an audience discussion. The panel will include Joe Andrews (Raime), Louise Brown (Iron Fist) and Dan Barrow (The Wire, Sight & Sound), and will be moderated by The Wire's Deputy Editor Frances Morgan.
The Salon is part of a weekend of Hauntology events that are taking place under the banner of the BFI's Gothic season. Click here to get tickets.
