Kadima Collective's solo bass series Triptych continues with a book, CD and DVD on free improvising double bass player Barre Phillips, titled Traces. The CD included is a reissue of Phillips's 1968 record of solo bass improvisations Journal Violone (originally issued by Music Man in England as Unaccompannied Barre, and in France as Basse Barre). The DVD is titled Temparaneous, and includes solo performances and commentary, and the book contains images of record sleeves, a complete discography, plus personal photos and concert flyers from 1946 to the present day.
