James Murphy has reformed LCD Soundsystem

LCD Soundsystem are back

James Murphy has reformed LCD Soundsystem, the band he dissolved five years ago. The 2011 split was marked by a farewell concert at New York Madison Square Gardens and a near two hour documentary, Shut Up And Play The Hits. Murphy and band will play US festival Coachella in April, and there are plans for a new album. Addressing fans and critics via Facebook, Murphy said, “Last night I sat with Al [Doyle, part-time member] and Nancy in a weird Italian bar and we talked about how fucking awesome it was that so many people were happy to have us back. But that doesn’t take away from those who feel hurt. To you I have to say: I’m seriously sorry. The only thing we can do now is get back into the studio and finish this record.”
