Roulette, a small 74 seat theatre in Manhattan showcasing experimental music for over 30 years is moving to a 400 capacity music hall in Brooklyn. The newly renovated venue has been specifically designed for experimental music, dance performances and interdisciplinary art.
As well as presenting performances the organisation also produces Roulette TV which broadcasts performances online, commissions emerging composers and has open applications for shows and works. If you would like to apply to show at Roulette you can find information about submitting here.
The opening will be celebrated with four nights of performances in September from Laurie Anderson/ Lou Reed/ John Zorn Trio, Henry Threadgill's Zooid, Fred Frith's Cosa Brava, Kaija Saariaho, Sylvie Couroisier + Mark Feldman Duo and more. Further details of the event here.
