This weekend The Wire's Off The Page in Oslo will be streaming live

Not in Oslo this weekend? Don't fret! This year's Off The Page Oslo, presented by nyMusikk and The Wire, will be streaming live and direct from Kunstnernes Hus, Oslo. The one day literary festival devoted to music criticism and audio culture brings together a host of international musicians, critics, theorists and composers. The programme includes Sidsel Endresen being interviewed by Audun Vinger; a panel discussion with Synne Øverland Knudsen, Lars Petter Hagen, Morten Jørgensen and Audun Lindholm on music in magazines; Pop Grenade author Matthew Collin in conversation with Anne Hilde Neset; talks from David Keenan, Tanja Orning, Tore Stavlund, Sue Harding and Ánde Somby giving a performative lecture plus film screening titled The Animals Inside The Man And The Man Outside The Animals. To mark The Wire's recent publication of Epiphanies: Life Changing Encounters With Music, Derek Walmsley will host an epiphanic tell-all with Paal Nilssen-Love, Lina Lapelyte and Gylve Fenris Nagell. Film screenings include Nathan Budzinski and Theo Cook's 9 Futures: Sounds Fragmenting (2015), Stéphane Jourdain and Anaïs Prosaïc's Virtuoso Listening (2013) and Mike Todd's Hustlers Convention (2015). Finally, The Wire bookshop will be manning a stall at the festival’s all day independent record fair.
