Stockholm’s Edition Festival is back

Edition Festival marks its return to the Swedish capital with the release of a 2016 live recording by Ellen Fullman & Okkyung Lee

Following a trip to Japan to host SuperDeluxe Edition festival in Tokyo, Stockholm's Edition Festival heads back to Sweden’s capital for a four day celebration of 'other' music at Fylkingen from 7–10 February 2019. Organised by John Chantler, confirmed artists include Anthony Braxton’s ZIM Music Octet, Annea Lockwood, Sarah Hennies, Oren Ambarchi & Crys Cole, and Kassel Jaeger, with more still to be announced. Tickets are on sale now.

The festival will also be issuing a live album from its first edition in 2016. It’s Ellen Fullman & Okkyung Lee’s The Air Around Her, which was recorded at Kronobageriet, the city’s Performing Arts Museum, formerly a bakery to Swedish royalty. Fullman’s long string instrument was stretched across its 26 metre expanse for the performance. Listen to the release below. It's available to pre-order via Bandcamp.
