A film on Vic Godard's British punk group Subway Sect is screening at Raindance Film Festival on 4 October. Titled Derailed Sense, the film is directed by Graham Bendel, who also directed Billy Childish Is Dead.
Derailed Sense was also scheduled to be screened at London's Barbican early next year, but a dispute between Godard and Bendel means that currently it's unlikely any future screenings will go ahead, and so Raindance may be your only chance to see the film. It includes archive footage from the late 70s and early 90s, and documents Subway Sect's influences and their dealings with the notorious Bernie Rhodes.
Derailed Sense shows on 4 October, 8pm, more details here.
UPDATE: Due to the ongoing dispute between Godard and Bendel, the Subway Sect documentary will no longer be screened at Raindance, and has been pulled from the festival's schedule.
