Abduction releases out of print Sun City Girls and Alvarius B digitally

There's an enormous digital drop of out of print releases from Sun City Girls's Abduction label arriving this month: a batch of 34 albums by Alvarius B, Uncle Jim, Sun City Girls and others. They will be available from 28 August, although digital pre-orders open at the end of this week.

The Sun City Girls digital releases also come with PDF booklets, which carry liner notes and previously unseen images. The digital files will be released on MP3, plus FLAC and WAV for sites that stock those formats (FLAC for Boomkat, and FLAC and WAV for Bleep).

Also being reissued is Alan Bishop's self titled Alvarius B record from 1998, which will be available again on double LP, and CD, on 11 September. The CD version contains six extra tracks on top of the original 39, and the LP is printed in a run of 400. The packaging for both contains all song lyrics.

While there are no plans to reissue any of the digital releases in physical at present, Abduction says: "Right now the label is making the catalog available digitally. This doesn’t preclude the possibility of repressing vinyl or CDs in the future."
