New Improv label launches with Matthew Shipp and John Butcher release

A new label for improvised music has been launched, called Fataka. The first two releases on the label are Cinema, a recording of John Coxon, Evan Parker and Eddie Prévost, and At Oto with John Butcher and Matthew Shipp. The former was recorded at the Cube in Bristol on 8 March 2008, and the latter – the first performance by Shipp and Butcher – was recorded on 14 February 2010 at London's Cafe Oto.

Both recordings are released on CD in editions of 500, with hand made packaging. More details here. Extracts, and a short video clip of Butcher and Shipp below.
