Process Festival

Call out for proposals for performances and new media work, to be shown at the 2 day festival in March 2010...

Process Festival, which takes place 19-20 March, 2010 at Berlin's Ausland venue and focuses on work in the field of generative or process music, specifically sound pieces which are inspired by or emulate algorithms, biology, or other 'defined systems' is calling for submissions of work.

As well as traditional forms of generative/process music, the organisers are interested in projects which expand the definition or approach to this field, including hardware based projects like custom instruments, lo-fi systems, web based work and other hybrid forms. Performances should be between 20 and 40 minutes long.

They're unable to offer artists compensation or provide travel costs to the event but encourage applicants from outside of Berlin to partner with local artists to perform works, and will help put individuals in contact. To submit work, email luke.munn@gmail.com with your name, a short biography, contact details, type of work and a description of your project along with any links to relevant imagery, sound, or documentation (if available). Deadline is 2 January 2010.
